How to get married in France

On 29 August 2009 Hattonchatel Chateau in North East of France hosted the wedding of Christopher & Theresa Alhaug from Norway. Most of the couples guests had travelled from Norway and were staying in a Hotel near the castle whilst the family of the wedding party were staying at the breathtaking castle itself.

The couple were married in the quaint church near to the castle and made an impressive grand entrance through the castle gates on horse back.  All arrangements were made by the Wedding Planners at Chateau Hattonchatel.

Reception drinks, champagne and petit fours were served to the guests in the beautiful estate grounds looking over the valley.

The sit down wedding meal for 80 guests was served in the magnificent “Salle de Burgraves” dining hall.

The castle receives thousands of visitors throughout the year who come to visit the Hall. The hall has a protection order by the French authorities.
